BRAKE CHAMBERS

Service brake chambers act as a relay device converting the pressure exerted on the brake pedal into mechanical force by applying air pressure on to a diaphragm within the chamber and releasing the brakes via a return spring. Service brakes do not include emergency braking like a spring brake actuator.
